Assisted Living

Apartment-stle care community that provides restaurant style dining, activities, and outings, in addition to24-hour caregiving. Assisted Living communities provides care and social activities that help keep a sense of independence.

Board and Care

Licensed care homes in residential neighborhoods that are adapted to provide 1-on-1 personal/care services for a small number of residents, up to 6 per home. These homes are ideal for adults with limited mobility, suffered a stroke, Alzheimer's, and/or Dementia.

Memory Care (MC)

Memory care communities are secure spaces that cater to the specific needs of seniors with memory loss and wandering behaviors, staff are trained on prompting, re-directing and memory-enhancing therapies.

Care Giving

Caregivers are responsible for the physical care and emotional support of someone who can no longer care for themselves due to illness, injury or disability. Caregiving can be provided by a family member, friend, or a professionally hired Caregiver.

In-home Support Services (IHSS)

The IHSS program provides in-home assistance to eligible (aged, blind and disabled) individuals as an alternative to moving into a care community.

Room & Board Home

Residential home that provides shared-room housing, meals, laundry, and housekeeping services.A Room and Board is ideal for adults that are independent but would benefit from a little bit of assistance.Room and Board homes DO NOT provide caregiving.

Medical

Personal

Your health insurance will provide you with medical care/services, this includes but is not limited to: home health, physical therapy, inhome nurse visits, etc. Personal Care falls under the responsibility of the individual, this includes but is not limited to: bathing, cleaning, toileting, companionship, dressing.

Private Pay

Day-to-day care falls under the financial responsibility
of the client.

Long Term Insurance(LTC)

A long-term care insurance policy helps cover the costs of care when you have a chronic medical condition, a disability or a disorder such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Assisted Living Waiver

For eligible medi-cal members, medi-cal will pay a percentage of care in an Assisted Living setting.

Aid & Attendance(VA Benefit)

Wartime veterans and their surviving spouses, 65 years and older, may be entitled to a tax-free benefit called Aid and Attendance provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
